At the University of Limerick, our superb riverside campus is set on 130 hectares of lush parkland, where the River Shannon meets the sea. Due to our location, the costs of living and socialising in Limerick are lower than in many other parts of the country. This means that your money goes further at UL. 9. On-campus accommodation:
Living on campus is one of the best ways to enjoy university life. There's a friendly atmosphere throughout UL with so many students living on campus. We have 5 purpose-built student villages providing 2400 rooms on campus. Each student has his/her own room ensuite in a modern 6-bedroom apartment. All apartments are equipped for cable TV and each room has a PC link to the internet. The locations of all 5 villages are excellent and close to all bars, shops, restaurants and banks.
10. Cooperative Education:
"Coop" facilitates the career development of UL students as an integral part of their academic programme, and to be the preferred source for employers recruiting students or graduates. UL has one of the largest Cooperative Education programmes in the EU. One third of placements are international, primarily in North America, Europe and South East Asia. This paid work placement enables you to "hit the ground running" after graduation and gives you a great platform when making the transition from college to the workplace.
